We had so much fun for the 100 days of school!
I baked and iced 75 cupcake for Lauren's, Caroline's and my classroom on Wednesday night and topped with 100 day toppers! Then I made Caroline and Bailey's 100 day shirt. I stayed up too late! But it was worth it when Lauren came in class to get her cupcakes that morning and said to me "Mom I love them! You are the best Mom ever" Wow! did that make my day! It hit me that this will be Lauren's last "100 days of school" at Trenton Elementary! My baby will be at the Middle School for 5th Grade which doesn't seem fair. So I had a break from my classroom and went over to find her at lunch. She was embarrassed for me to be coming over to take pictures of her and all of her friends. They all came over and I got some cute pictures of the group that had once started out in Pre-K together. I was also able to get some fun pictures of Caroline with her friends which were more cooperative than the 4th graders! lol
After school the girls and I went to Big Daddy's and Gaga's to check on Big Daddy. (Big Daddy aka Mr. Howell and Gaga aka Mrs. Sheree are like my adoptive parents. He had surgery on his neck Wednesday and we had to give him our love. Gaga and I made Taco Soup for him and the girls and I stayed and ate supper. We always have lots of laughs with Gaga and Big Daddy.

Gator Gymnastics 2011

Kinsey and Caroline

Olivia, Alberta and Caroline

Caroline was invited to go with her best friend Kinsey to a Florida Gators Gymnastics meet on Friday after school. This would be Caroline's first time going without Mom, Dad, or sister. Not sure if she would go....Caroline surprised us and went! So Jamie and I went to dinner at Bonefish and met them at the meet. Kinsey, Caroline, Olivia, Railee and her friends had a lot of fun! Caroline loved to watch the girls compete and loves to dance to all the music they played durning the competition. We even got to take a picture of Alberta!

Our Christmas 2010

The Martin Christmas Traditions!
We always go to Jamie's parents house on Christmas Eve. We pack up the presents, food, pillows, toothbrushes, and everything we need to stay the night. (Jamie use to go to his dad's parents when he was a little boy and do the same thing until he started his own family) I made homemade vegetable soup this year for us to eat before heading over to Grandma and Big Papa's to see the tribe (as papa would call it) We stayed for a little while before going back to Nana V and Papa's house to made another Christmas tradition... a Gingerbread House !
This year Jamie picked one up on the way home from work, that had the sleigh and Santa
along with skittles, m&ms and gumdrops. Caroline ate more than she decorated. Lauren was really precise with hers. I hot glued the house this year after some bad experiences. ha!
After the girls were finished Lauren wrote Santa a note. We got the homemade cookies we made especially for Santa, filled the glass with milk and put it by the fireplace. Lauren brought the Night Before Christmas to read in Nana and Papa's bed. (another tradition) Lauren read us the whole book! She has become a wonderful reader. After the book it took Caroline awhile to finally settle down...she needed water...needed another hug from Nana....needed to go potty....she played and ticked Lauren.... However Lauren was ready for what the morning would bring and wasn't as new to this as Caroline. Meanwhile the boys (Papa, Jamie and Jerry) were back at Papa and Grandma's playing cards with all the Martin family. (another tradition)
